Gossip blogger Perez Hilton posted a series of Twitter messages early this morning claiming to have been assaulted by the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am and his bodyguards. Hilton was in Toronto attending the MuchMusic Awards. At one point he wrote: “I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.” His last message was from an hour ago when he wrote, “I’m going to try and nap a bit.” He has not yet posted about it on his blog PerezHilton.com, but will.i.am has already posted a video response, denying all of Hilton’s accusations.
UPDATE: Perez Hilton just posted a video on his blog, giving his account of the incident and responding to will.i.am’s video.
OMG this is horrible. Perez’s video is very sad and you can tell he was shaken by the evening. He discusses the incident, stating that one of the Black Eyed Peas’ entourage “shouldered” him at the Much Music Awards in Canada. Apparently he mentioned it to the press in an interview and tensions escalated throughout the night. About 2:30-3 a.m., Will.i.am comes up to Perez and starts shit. Many words were exchanged, Will.i.am follows him outside the club, and Will’s entourage begins the beat down on the blogger. Wow.
Will.i.am denies all the claims this morning, in typical celebrity manner, saying it was a random fan who hit Perez. Regardless of personal differences, there is no need for violence. It’s his job to blog about celebrities, just as it’s Will.i.am’s job to make crappy sell-out music. If there is a difference of opinion, don’t start a fight about it, sue him, that’s the American way. Geesh. Feel better Perez, we’ve got your back.
